Why enrollment matters so much in Indiana
Indiana gives families more choice than most states. Families can choose among their local school corporation, neighboring districts that accept transfer students, public charter schools, and private schools, many of which participate in the state's Choice Scholarship program. Because state funding largely follows the student, every family's decision affects a school's budget.
That makes enrollment marketing a year-round job for every kind of Indiana school, not only private schools.
Choice Scholarship: now open to every Indiana family
Starting with the 2026-27 school year, Indiana removed the income limit on the Choice Scholarship. Any student with legal settlement in Indiana who meets the age requirements can use a Choice Scholarship at a participating school. Many families still assume private school is out of reach. Participating schools should explain the Choice Scholarship clearly on their website and in their campaigns, and remind families of application windows. For 2026-27, the second application period runs November 1, 2026 through January 15, 2027.
Kindergarten registration and roundup
For many Indiana school corporations, kindergarten is the most important enrollment moment of the year: the family that enrolls in kindergarten may stay for thirteen years. For Rochester Community School Corporation, a coordinated campaign of parent resource lead magnets, targeted digital ads promoting kindergarten events, and postcard mailers doubled kindergarten open house attendance year over year.
Competing for transfer students and program enrollment
Districts can use the same tools private schools use: clear messaging about programs and outcomes, targeted ads to families in surrounding areas, and follow-up that invites families to visit.

A team you can meet in person
Our office is at 3414 North Anthony Blvd in Fort Wayne, and the people building your website and running your campaigns live in Allen County. For Indiana schools, that means in-person kickoff and strategy sessions, and photo and video shoots on your campus, not a sales rep three time zones away.
